  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut broccoli into bite-size florets; finely mince garlic; zest lemon and juice it.
  3. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread broccoli in a single layer, ensuring space between florets.

  6. If using Parmesan, sprinkle it over the broccoli during the last 5 minutes of roasting to melt.
